Testimonial: "I found my stolen bike thanks to the Hoot gps tracker!"

"Both bikes were locked to a Thule bike rack. At a service station on the freeway, I parked the vehicle unattended for 5 minutes. On my return, one of the bikes was missing. The wheel straps had been cut and the Thule lock ripped off.

After a few moments of disbelief I activated the flight mode on the app. 10 minutes later, the bike started transmitting every two minutes. So I got into my car and started following the GPS directions while calling 112. The police took my call but refused to intervene as long as the car was moving. By dint of insistence (multiple calls), the police arranged for us to meet near one of the GPS tracking points. With the thief still on the move, my wife went up with the police to follow the vehicle with the tracker, while I followed with my vehicle.

If the thief had a 15-minute head start, Its many stops and movements brought us closer together, and we finally circumscribed an area in a deserted street. When we noticed that one of the cars still had a warm engine, we peered through the windows to find the bike inside, wheels disassembled. With the car left open, keys in the ignition, phone plugged in and papers in the car, we assume that the thief had identified the police car, or even ours with the other bike, and escaped. 

The policemen retrieved the bike and returned it to us, helping to reassemble it and reinstall it on the bike rack by some makeshift means.Immense relief, the bikes were 15 days new. "
